Along with taking trips to the school library, students also take an occasional field trip (across the street) to the Town Library. Ms. Berkowitz is here reading to the children.

Ms. Currier, reading specialist at ILCS, decided the kids room of the library needed a little pizzazz and added some of her collection of reading characters to the room, as well as moving things around to make more space.

Grades k-12 come to the library for lessons once a week. At that time they also return and check out new books — here the first graders wait their turn.

The reading teacher, Ms. Currier, helping out a first grader. There is a group of first graders who are already reading and using the Accelerated Reader Program. Kids enjoy the program mainly because they get to use the computer to take a reading comprehension test.

The copier being serviced — Did we mention how far we are from everything? The service guy drives an hour and a half to get to ILCS, fortunately or unfortunately he also had to work on the office copier.
